Our very own Earth Science teacher, Ms. Kathy Robbins, presented a paper at The National Association for Research in Science Teaching (NARST) annual conference in Puerto Rico about the Teacher Assistant Scholars (TAS). The paper focused on the relationships between TAS, teachers and students. Mrs. Robbins was also able to visit the Aricebo Observatory where she spoke with several professional astronomers including one that is an expert on comets. Mrs. Robbins will be starting an astronomy club and hopes to establish more connections with astronomers to connect students with science professionals.
