BRONX, NY – Outback Steakhouse debuted it’s newest restaurant in the Bronx on Monday, September 28th at the entrance to the Mall at Bay Plaza.  To show their support of the local community, the restaurant will be hosting a Give Back Night on Monday, October 5th.   During the event Monday, 50% of the sales in the restaurant will be donated to the school.

“We’re so thankful to the Outback for their generosity,” said Principal Keri Alfano.  “It’s an honor to be selected for the Community Give-Back initiative, and we look  forward to a successful partnership with our newest neighbor.”

Outback Steakhouse worked closely with Community Board 10 to select the recipient of the Give Back Night.  As it turns out, a member of the Outback Family, Moises Larregui is a native of Co-Op City, and also a Truman High School graduate himself.

“We’re thrilled to be the newest neighbor in the Bronx and to set roots in this thriving community,” said Marc Barnes, Local Proprietor of the Bay Plaza Outback Steakhouse. “We’ve expanded our Outback family to include nearly 180 local residents at this new location.”

The restaurant is Outback’s only location in the Bronx, and features a “Modern Australia” design that mirrors the natural plants, animals and geography of modern-day Australia.  The restaurant also features an outdoor dining patio.  For more information about Outback Steakhouse you can visit www.outback.com.
