Go Purple!

Go Purple!

Millions go purple on Spirit Day in a stand against bullying and to show their support for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) youth. Observed annually since 2010, individuals, schools, organizations, corporations, and public figures wear purple, which symbolizes ‘spirit‘ on the rainbow flag.

Show support and acceptance to students on the LGBTQ spectrum.

#SpiritDay

As a community in unity, wearing purple for a cause signifies that we all take a stand against bullying, bias, and harassment. Without saying a word, we demonstrate to our students, whether they’re LGBTQ or not, that we are a community of respect. Words have power. Actions have power.

Join us for Spirit Day and lets show the Truman community that we are “No Place For Hate.”
