Television Production Program
In October of 2003, Harry S Truman High School received a one million dollar grant from City Council Member Larry Seabrook and the City Council. The funds enabled Truman High School to reopen its Television Production Studio in September of 2005. The studio is now the cornerstone of our flourishing Television Production and Media Studies Program.
During the first year of the program, students work on the writing and production of public service announcements, commercials and documentaries. They also work on news and script writing . Moreover, the students are introduced to the many aspects of Television Production, such as camera work, lighting, sound and video editing.
