Most colleges require some type of entrance exam. Additionally, exam results can be used by colleges to determine eligibility for scholarships or award college credit. These standardized tests include:
- American College Test (ACT)
- Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).
- Texas Higher Education Assessment (THEA)
- Accuplacer
- Advanced Placement Exams
Check with your prospective college or academic advisor to see which test requirements apply to you. Some colleges will accept either the ACT or the SAT for admission.
Students who are on free and reduced price lunch may be eligible for a fee waiver for these tests.
