The R.A.P.P. Program
What is RAPP?
RAPP stands for the Relationship Abuse Prevention Program.
What does RAPP do?
RAPP’s purpose is to promote healthy teen relationships and raise awareness of teen relationship abuse. We help teenagers learn what is healthy in a relationship so they can live free from abusive relationships. We do this in a number of ways:
- Workshops on teen relationship abuse.
- Counseling for students who may be in abusive relationships or who just want to learn more to avoid being the victim of abuse.
- Relationships groups for young men and women.
- Groups that look at how “popular culture” affects how young men and women behave.
- Help and referrals for family members who may be in abusive relationships.
- Peer leadership & job opportunities.
- After-school groups, such as the Poetry Club, the Book Club and the Movie Club.
- “It’s a RAPP” monthly newsletter has an advice column, poetry pages, Rhyme 4 Reason, monthly polls & lots of useful information.
That’s what’s up!
