BRONX, N.Y. – On Wednesday, May 28, 2025, the second floor of Harry S. Truman High School was transformed into a vibrant hub of global celebration during the 3rd Annual Culture Day, hosted by the Culture Club, Student Government, and the Africa Club.
Throughout periods 3, 4, 5, and 6, students and staff explored a variety of interactive displays, live performances, book club activities, and cultural expressions—showcasing the rich diversity that makes up the Truman community. From traditional dances and music to food, language, and fashion, the day served as a living celebration of heritage, identity, and unity.
Visitors received a “passport” that they could take with them to each country-themed station, collecting stamps and learning facts along the way. The passport activity encouraged students to engage deeply with each culture represented, sparking curiosity and conversations at every stop.
Mr. Juan Manzano Muñoz, one of the lead organizers of the event, shared his excitement:
“Culture Day is one of the most fun and engaging events we host all year. It’s incredible to see students light up when they get to share a part of their heritage—or discover something totally new. It brings the whole school together.”
As in previous years, Culture Day proved to be more than just an event—it was an immersive experience of global awareness, pride, and connection. Huge thanks to the clubs, student leaders, and staff who made it possible. Here’s to celebrating every culture, every voice, and every Mustang!
