MAY 20TH! Virtual Parent-Teacher Conferences for End-of-Year Planning

BRONX, NY – As the 2025-2026 academic year enters its final stretch, Harry S Truman High School is inviting families to participate in a Virtual Parent-Teacher Conference on Wednesday, May 20. Running from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., the evening is designed to provide families with the tools needed to help students finish the year strong and transition successfully to their next chapters.

The event features two distinct tracks tailored to the specific needs of different grade levels. For families of students in grades 9 through 11, the “Looking Forward” sessions will provide a head start on the 2026-2027 school year. Discussions will focus on academic transitions, upcoming course expectations, and strategies to maintain academic momentum through the summer months.

For the Class of 2026, the focus shifts to “The Final Countdown.” These sessions are dedicated to post-secondary planning, offering a deep dive into college and career next steps. Staff will be available to guide seniors and their families through the final requirements and preparations necessary for life after receiving their high school diplomas.

“Your involvement is the ‘secret sauce’ to your student’s success,” Assistant Principal Francine Palmer-Mullings shared in a statement to the community. “We look forward to seeing you online and planning for a bright future together.”

The conferences will be held virtually via Google Meet. Parents can access the specific session links and documentation through the links above, which were also sent out via a school-wide email blast to families.
