BRONX, NY – The annual NYC School Survey officially launched today, marking the beginning of an essential period of reflection and feedback for the Harry S Truman High School community. While students across all grade levels will be provided time to complete their surveys during the school day, the administration is making a special call to action for parents and guardians to participate from home.
The NYC School Survey is one of the largest annual surveys in the country and serves as a vital tool for school improvement. The feedback gathered from families provides school leaders with an honest look at the learning environment, academic expectations, and school safety. By participating, families ensure that their unique perspectives are represented in the data used to shape future programs and school policies.
Completing the survey is a simple process that can be done entirely online in several languages. To begin, parents will need their child’s nine-digit Student Identification (OSIS) number, which can be found on any report card or student ID card.
How to Complete Your Survey:
-
Visit NYCSchoolSurvey.org or log in to your NYC Schools Account (NYCSA).
-
If using the survey website, enter a lowercase “f” followed by your child’s nine-digit OSIS number (e.g., f123456789).
-
Answer the questions and click submit.
Truman High School prides itself on a strong partnership between home and school. High participation rates not only demonstrate our community’s commitment to excellence but also ensure that the NYC Department of Education has an accurate picture of the successes and needs of our school. Families are encouraged to complete the survey as soon as possible to ensure their voices are heard.
