BRONX, NY – Harry S Truman High School will host a free, in-person financial aid assistance event for senior families on Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the school library.

The one-on-one support session will help families understand and complete applications for college funding opportunities, including the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), the NYS Dream Act application, Pell Grants, TAP (Tuition Assistance Program), the Excelsior Scholarship, and private scholarships. Staff will also help families understand college costs and create a college financial plan.

Families are encouraged to bring the following, if available: parent/guardian identification, student identification, Social Security numbers, 2025 tax information, financial documents, and FSA ID information.

Many families are eligible for grants and scholarships but miss important opportunities because the process can feel overwhelming. The school’s team will provide personalized support so families can confidently complete their applications and explore every option to pay for college. Every senior should have a financial aid plan — don’t leave money on the table.

Families with questions may contact the school directly at (718) 904-5400.
